KINGS OF KAIJU

Kaiju Maynard James Keenan-Retired

Update: We retired Maynard before he started breeding because he did pass his echocardiogram. Although his DNA report did not show he was a carrier or affected, he developed HCM before he was 9 months old. This was not a hard decision for us as we put the health of our future kittens first. Please make sure when researching a breeder that they are also doing echocardiograms on their cats in their breeding program, it is obvious why DNA testing is not the only avenue.

We co-own Atlas of Luxecoons who will be our sire of future litters. He lives at Luxecoons in Erin, Tn and hope to have a picture of him soon to add to our website.

Meet our future sire Maynard James Keenan. He is a red smoke and has already done well in his first cat show winning 5th place kitten and 2nd place kitten out of 23 kittens. We plan to have him continue competing in more upcoming TICA shows. In this picture he is just 4 months old but we are loving his development. He has such a friendly personality and great temperament, we take him in the car, to work, and the pet store regularly. We hope he will be ready to breed in late 2022-early 2023.

Loveable Mainecoons Jambi of Kaiju

Meet our Jambi (pronounced Jawmbee). He was our first mainecoon, born in Arkansas from Russian lines on 12/19/19. He has decided that James is his person although I do all the dirty work for him. He is our lazy one. He loves to act like he’s never eaten a day in his whole life and absolutely loves Frito’s, he comes running the second he hears a bag open. He is very vocal and he loves to have conversations with us.

Jambi is not a part of our breeding program, but he is the OG of Kaiju.

Congocoons Phineas of Kaiju

Meet Phineas. This guy has more personality and genius in one paw than in any cat I have ever known. He was born 4/5/20 in Alabama from a long line of amazing European Mainecoons. He is the youngest and smallest of our boys but definitely the alpha in the house (or so he thinks). He is my problem child but hands down my favorite. He watches us intently and learns. He is so smart it is a little scary. Phineas likes to play fetch, climb to the top of the doors and hang out there, he has learned to open the doors (which is not a good thing when we are trying to keep cats separated), he has his own fan club, and has the ability to drive me absolutely crazy but knows exactly how to win me over seconds later. He loves to be held and he gives the best purrs around.

Phineas is not a part of our breeding program but is an OG of Kaiju!

Cherokee Cotovasia-coon of Kaiju- Retired 11/2021

Meet Cherokee. Born in Volgograd, Russia on 1/29/20 He is our only breeding male right now. He is a red silver mainecoon with the sweetest temperament of any cat I have ever known. He loves attention and will literally lay down on top of whatever I’m trying to do (laundry, computer, book) and reach out to grab my hands to pet him. He is our escape artist so we have to watch him carefully.

We had him genetically tested through Optimal-Selection/Wisdom Panel and are unable to upload those results at this time. He has tested negative or clear for the 50 genetic health predispositions they test for. As soon as they make the results available to download we will upload them here. If you are requesting information on a kitten and would like to see them, we will be happy to send you a screenshot through email.

Echocardiogram was great and clear to breed from Nashville Veterinary Specialists May 2021
